UV-Spectrophotometric Determination of the Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients Meloxicam and Nimesulide in Cleaning Validation Samples with Sodium Carbonate

The spectrophotometric methods of determination the active pharmaceutical ingredients meloxicam and nimesulide were reviewed a simple UV-spectrophotometric method for these in industrial equipment cleaning validation samples was proposed. based on extraction residual quantities from manufacturing surface by concentrated sodium carbonate solution subsequent basic forms drugs at wavelength 362 nm 397 nimesulide. calibration graphs linear range 5 to 25 mg/L both meloxicam, molar attenuation coefficients 6100 m2/mol 9100 limit detection 0.8 1.9 quantification 2.5 5.8 meloxicam. selective with respect common excipients, showed good accuracy (the relative uncertainty did not exceed 7%) precision standard deviation 4%), require lengthy sample preparation or sophisticated laboratory suitable routine analysis samples.
